tropical downpour outside. Quite weird.
I enjoyed the game, what little we saw of it between commercials, but found the actual game rather slow with much thumping one another's heads (even if it is on the helmets) a bit disconcerting! Also all they seemed to do was run into each other, no good passing down the line as they made for the touch down etc...I am a big rugby fan and the singing and excitment of that game seemed to be missing in this one. Prolly due to the rain.
The fireworks and rock-star part of the show was enjoyable to watch, not ball game entertainment I was expecting and I was looking forward to seeing the puff-girls do their stuff but they hardly ever were shown.
Anyway the Colts winning was to be expected I was told, so I feel for the underdogs as I always do, poor things going home defeated!
The food was interesting....My pickled shrimp were amazing. (Thanks CynUpstate)I also made tatziki with Greek yoghurt, so much better than using the Dannon stuff.
We had hummus (artichoke and roasted red pepper ones) and garlic bread and meatballs in a tomato based sauce with pasta and a wonderful salad with cheese cake to follow.(apparently that or meatball sandwiches are these folk's standered big game fare.)
Lots of wine and beer and a most entertaining evening all round.
