The kumquats taste super sour; not sure if I should peel them? The baby kiwi have a skin; unlike a normal kiwi. Any ideas?

They looked so cute, I wanted to try them, now not sure how to use them. Especially the kumquats

Try this...I would suggest adding some warm spices like cinnamon, and a touch of clove

Candied Kumquats

Super easy recipe for candying kumquats, those mini citrus you can eat whole. Great as a sweet condiment for meat and cakes.
INGREDIENTS
4 cups of roughly chopped kumquats (roughly 1-1½ lbs.)
1 cup of water
2 cups of sugar
METHOD
1 With a pairing knife roughly chop the kumquats. Discard any seeds you can that are easy to get too, but they're edible so don't fret if some get chopped up or stay in the fruit. Feel free to leave any small kumquats whole.
2 Heat the water and sugar over high heat until it comes to a boil. Simmer for 4 minutes. Add the kumquats and simmer for 10 minutes.
3 Drain the kumquats through a sieve set over a bowl. Return the syrup to the pan and simmer for 5 minutes to reduce the syrup. Combine the kumquats and 1/4 cup of the syrup together.
Serve or jar and refrigerate. Can be stored for up to two weeks.

With kumquats one eats the peel and tosses the seedy sour inside.

Or make a marmalade. Or candy like Karen says. The candied kumquats are very good in chicken salad.

All the kiwis we get have a brown furry skin and need to be

peeled. Put them in a fruit salad with a sweet sour poppy seed dressing, cut in half if needed.
And kumquats are for the skin only!! Used to love to chew on them (they would be scattered around in our Christmas orange box from Florida) and then spit out the "innards". But a marmalade would be good.

I have learned that I am not a fan of kumquats. I had a contractor here today, even he could not

eat it wo a silly face. Oh well!

Eat the peel, which is sweet. Then, if you like sugar (everyone else shut your eyes here)

dip the sour insides in sugar and eat them. I have my own tree which has just a few kumquats, but they are sweet all the way through - I love them. If you can find round kumquats (not the long ones), they are likely to be sweet.

The little ones that you have are absolutely wonderful as preserves, candies or as marmalade. Serve them over vanilla ice cream.
