What a nifty potato "smoosher", has anyone tried it?

I use the old standby from Ecco with the Bakelite handle that has a grid base, was my grandmother's...

But I've rarely met a gadget I didn't like!

Right now I'm making the chipotle pinto beans, with some modifications due to pantry limitations. But I'm using a cool muslin infuser bag for the chipotle chile since it has to be retrieved later. And I'm a spice wimp!

What's your favorite gadget du jour?

My other favorite is the julienned vegetable peeler from Zyglis.

I had my morning laugh earlier...When I read this at 5:30...I read..."nifty potato smoocher" Of

course I immediately thought of rvb.....
