What are your favorite cooking magazines? I have Food & Wine now,

and have had Gourmet and Saveur in the past. I'm thinking it would be fun to get Cooks Illustrated but would like your suggestions.

So, what are your current favorites?

Thanks in advance!

Cook's Ilustrated. I have file folders on my computer completely devoted to CI.

I think the editor gets a little sappy for my taste (cynic by nature), but love his bowtie.

Cuisine at Home & Bon Appetit for me...(more)

Just fabulous recipes in both. Cuisine at Home seems to hit it out of the ballpark on every issue. At least for my tastes. Cook's Illustrated is great for learning techniques, but I find many of the recipes are ones I just would not do all that often. Plus I like to see colored pictures of what I'm making. I'm visual. On occasion, I do buy an issue of Cooking Light at my grocer's if it catches my eye. It's a good one.

Favorites: Taste of Italia, Fine Cooking, Cook's Illustrated, Cuisine at Home, Bon Appetit .

I'm with you. BA, Cuisine at Home, and Fine Cooking...

Have dropped Gourmet, Cooks Illustrated, and Italian Cooking and Living this year. Cooks Illustrated was good, but I got a bit tired of this is the BEST way...

Have gotten Food & Wine and Saveur in the past, but these are the three I wind up making the most from.

Right on, Wildwoods. I was considering Food and Wine and then...

I picked up a copy where they gave some interesting restaurant menu items and then gave the details for the "easy" version which were so dumbed down they weren't the same thing. For example, one which was supposed to be a meat roll with a complicated fillin g ended up flat with the stuff piled on top and covered with the sauce. Why bother, I wanted the real method and recipe. I can go to Food Tv and Sandra Semi-homemade for that kind of food.

I agree. I finally dropped it. And, much as I like Bon Appetit,

they started irritating me this year with their inclusion of fashion. Fortunately, they seem to have backed off it a little bit in the last issue.

I have Intermezzo. It was recomended by someone here once and I >>>

got a subscription and I have continued buying it. I like it, but have to admit I haven't tried many of the recipes.
