What do you think of this Tiramisu cake recipe?

oli, I much prefer a cake from scratch and not a mix .. Dorie Greenspan has a wonderfuld Tiramisu

Cake Recipe. I will link shortly for you.

No worries there. we'll ALWAYS be glad to tell you what we think, even when you don't ask smileys/smile.gif

this could be our forum mission statement---or at least stitched on a pillow for purchase.

Ha...good ones, cheezz and Ang! Oli...I'm perfectly happy with box cakes at times. So is our library

staff, our neighbors, my coworkers...etc.

ROFL, DH's b-day was the other night, and I was supposed

to leave work early so I could make him his requested chocolate cupcakes. I left late and wound up digging in the back of the pantry closet for an old box of Duncan Hines and made them. Now, when I tell you I've tried at least one dozen choc cakes suggested here, it would not be an exaggeration. He was swooning over these cupcakes and said I finally found a recipe that was a "keeper!!" UGH. He's still licking his chops and gave some to SIL and his freind and they both emailed me to say they were the best cupcakes ever. I have yet to confess!!!

Yup, that's happened to me, too... Duncan Hines is the only box mix I'll use - and even then

I like to replace some of the liquid with coffee (or kahlua) smileys/smile.gif

That reminds me of my favorite... "If you have something to say about someone...sit next to me!"
