What I built today: Zebra-Striped Chocolate & Ginger Banana Bread and the Muffins that love them.

Cathy, I addressed the recipe at this link. Only thing I did differently was zebra stripe it,

rather than marble it. To Zebra stripe, you prep everything as you normally would for a marbled or 2 flavor bread (see link) but instead of putting it in marbling form, you lay down about 1/2 cup of one batter in the middle of the pan, then follow with a 1/2 cup of the other, repeat until the pan is full. (for more stripes, use a 1/4 or 1/3 cup measure.) If you do it with equal amounts each time, you get a striped loaf. Cool and relatively easy.

King Arthur has a tutorial on it:

I made them for our freezer but will share with neighbors and friends when called upon. They taste outrageously good if you like the combination of chocolate, ginger and banana (which I think complement each other remarkably well). The marbled version I made got raves from CB's cast and crew so, I figure I'm on the right track.
