You know those METAL buttons, the metal fly and metal decorations on jeans? >>>

Sparks were literally flying in the oven, and the pants almost caught fire.
The oven squeaked twice and then it died.

It was quite a horrifying experience and an expensive lesson.

(- but the face of my civil engineer dad were priceless! *LOL*)

 
The worst ever I did was to put one of those thermos containers to get it really hot,

in my microwave. Some how I missed the directions, do not put in microwave!!!
I had wax all over my microwave, and I felt like an idiot. I am not sure which is worse, feeling like an idiot, or trying to scrape out WAX from everywhere in the microwave.
I hate unexpected messes, and I am a magnet for them. accckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

 
hi again steph. surprisingly...

it all staid on the turntable. i put the oatmeal in the nuker and pushed 5, but forgot to add power level =5 as well.

disgustingly mundane.

 
I told a friend she could put a lemon in the microwave for a few seconds to yield more juice, she

left it for more than a minute on high. Don't know how long it actually took for it to explode...doubt if she asked me for any advice again.
