What is everyone making for Thanksgiving? Any cute dessert ideas for kids?

When my kids were smaller, I would make sugar cookie dough and set them up with cookie cutters

and molds and let them go crazy while I worked on Thanksgiving dinner. Once they were done preparing the cookies, I would pop them in the oven and after they cooled, I would let them decorate with icing and sprinkly things. Then they would be added to the dessert table for everyone to enjoy. The kids enjoyed it and it kept them occupied so I could concentrate on dinner.

 
Such a great idea, but I'm showing up just before dinner - I used to do this at Christmas

I'd 'glue' graham crackers together with royal icing into little gingerbread cottages, then have bowls and bowls of decorations for them and lots of royal icing to attach them with. My girls would get to invite a friend and they would spend all afternoon on their creations, plus the friend would have something to take home for decoration. SO much fun (for me too) *g*
