What is everyone's favorite ethnic food BESIDES Italian, Mexican or Asian?

I love Ethiopian food, but it's a pain to cook as it is VERY time consuming (and I can never get the injera bread to turn out). I guess after that it would have to be Spanish. I saw a recipe the other day for Basque piperade and realized how long it has been since I made it and that it was really good. Kind of hot here for that to sound appetizing now, but will have to remember come fall.

i'll eat anything as long as it's good (which includes all eths i've tried.)

I, too, love Ethiopian food...

Tried to make it at home once with disastrous results about 15 years ago. It was soooo hot that we couldn't eat it. Since then, we only eat Ethiopian out. Also love Indian, but we only make a few of those dishes at home - again, we usually go out for that. I have a great Indian spinach & chickpeas recipe from Saveur that we love. I love Thai, but my other half... not so much.

Indian and Moroccan...but I just have to mention Vietnamese...which would

qualify as Asian, I guess....it's my newest that I've tried but am SO curious about Ethiopian and would love to try it!...we have no such restaurants here in SW FL, sadly.

Lebanese

Hands down. My ex was Lebanese, first generation over here so I got a good education in authenticity.

Had lunch at a fantastic Lebanese buffet yesterday. One of the dishes was a type of

spicy bean stew. If you know what iit is and have a recipe, would you share it?
Thanks!

If you describe it a bit more I may be able to help

Were they fava beans? Was the sauce sort of a thick orangish or reddish colour? Was there anything else in the stew?

Yes and yes. I think it had quite a few other vegetables in it but we were

eating such a variety that I really can't remember. This one didn't have allspice in it, which another one did, and I don't think there were any peppers it it either.
