What stove do you use?

We have started the remodel and are looking at a new stove - we're looking for dual fuel, i.e. gas and convection oven and 30", that's all the space we have!

So, what do you use? And do you like it?

Look at that gem! I love those oven doors. My mom bought a Frigidaire in about 1951. It had an

add-on clock that worked as an auto-oven timer.

Yours is pretty fancy in comparison.

My old GE, 1977, double ovens are still going strong and bang-on temp with never a callibration.

I saw an old Chambers that went at auction for $58 but it was in OH so I didn't bid

I wanted that sucker so badly. They are such cool old stoves.

Mine is going strong, and I love the double oven, but no one services these things anymore!

My stove knobs are quirky (go all they way around, instead of stopping at the 'off' point, so you have to know how to fiddle them. But you can dance on top of it, the metal is so thick. Weighs a TON, and I love the lower drawer where I keep muffin tins and pie tins.

Wow, Cheezz...exactly like a rental house stove I had from 1973!

It was a wonderful stove! Wish I could find one, today. You are fortunate and know it! smileys/smile.gif

HAHA! No, no help at all ladies! Now tell me about your NEW stoves!!

great stories and photos though!

in London we had an old, old stove from the 20's the broiler part above the burners was wide open, like a salamander, nice and safe...

Of course that one went out the door the second we walked in!
