What types of recipes do you use marjoram in? I like it, but can't exactly

put my finger on what I like about it. It's an earthy, mild flavor even though I guess is related to oregano (which I HATE because it's so bitey and strong). I usually use it in beef, but I'm wondering what else it would go well in.

That's exactly how I use marjoram--instead of oregano when I want a more subtle taste.....

I use it in stews and soups, altho I do use oregano in tomato sauce--it's the flavor I remember.

I always use it in pea soup and instead of thyme---just don't like thyme. it tastes too

earthy(like dirt actually) to me.

I use marjoram whenever a recipe calls for oregano as I find

oregano (dried) far too strong. It always seems to overwhelm whatever I'm making. I do like fresh oregano but use it sparingly (and always toss in some fresh marjoram). I use it in Greek salad dressing and in tomato sauce.

I use marjoram in the Thanksgiving dressing with apples, whole allspice, golden

raisins, ground pork, onions and celery. It's good on any poultry and pork dish too. Try to grow some fresh, it's really nice, my mom had a plant this year (as I am dirt deprived, I live vicariously through hers) and it was really wonderful!
