What would you do with this... (Saw at consignment shop). Masterclass brand pot 6 1/2 in wide, 9

inches tall, with a "strainer", inside. Not really a strainer, but gives you the ability to pull up any solids in the pot. Seems like an odd pot. Couldn't figure out how I would use it. is brand new, $5.00. Wish there was a box, so I could get a sense on how to use. Seems too small to use on the stove? Is it for compost?

Thoughts?

I think it is an asparagus steamer.

You put the spears in "heads" up and bring water to half way up so stalks cook and heads steam and don't overcook.

I had one for years that SAT in the closet--roasted or sauteed in a pan is so

much better. And actually MANY years ago, the "tip of the day"--in that day--was to steam your asparagus in your coffee percolator!! Great for good coffee the next day!!
