What's for dinner tonight? We're having rainbow trout with a white wine/butter/garlic sauce with

a little lemon juice, chives, thyme, and chervil. Brown rice and roasted broccoli and cauliflower on the side.

Dessert will be later - something chocolate, of course.

Jacques Pepin;s mustard-crusted chicken, roasted potatoes, broccoli, and maybe a peach dessert.

Chili's baby back ribs & loaded mashed potatoes

I get gift cards for Chili's from our courier service that sucks up to the paralegals to get their business.

Wow, those all sound delicious. I'm putting mine inside because it's hideously boring. smileys/wink.gif

Mac and cheese. (It's not from a box--hopefully that redeems me somewhat.)

What can I say? Jakub is away on business and I'm in snacking/editing/forgot to cook mode...

Roasted split chicken with raspberry chipotle sauce, steamed green beans and my marinated bean salad

I hope your split chicken is taking less time than mine--it's 8:30 and we're starving

Jacques Pepin's recipe is for the kind of 2-1/2 pound broiler that doesn't exist in this country.

I hope my own Jacques will still be awake when it is ready.

Oh Lordy it was delicious! Jacques set up a table on the deck with candles--had to keep busy!

Reservations/Take out last night and tonight because 16 moving in with us for the weekend

and I'm cooking for them the entire time:)

Subway tuna and turkey subs... it was a busy day ) working in the garden

Yours sounds SO much better though!

Not fair, not fair! I would be worn out. I hope you are getting some help with the prep work and

most importantly, someone else is cleaning up. Have fun, they must be people you love.

I SERIOUSLY love the box Mac and cheese. dh laughs because I will make fun, fancy dinners, but I

have my treat with my 99 cent mac and cheese. I used to love the Prince brand, but can't find it anymore.

The Nicests Guest Ever - they do all clean-up; dinner menus for tonight and tomorrow!

Tonight it is steak tacos (link below)because our 11 year old godsons love tacos. But this version is wonderful for all ages. A lot of work but we have a meat slice and we'll shave the flanks into very thin slices that only need a min. or two to cook (it's the glaze that is time consuming). We'll also have:
Refried Black Beans
Spanish Rice
A BIG green salad loaded with goodies
A fresh veggie

Dessert: White Buttermilk cake with blueberry 'jam' baked into the top of each layer. Layered with lemon curd mixed with white buttercream; buttercream only as icing,

The mornings are always lox, bagels, pastry, cereal, eggs and sausauge/bacon.

Tomorrow night is the brisket; hubby and I used the slicer last night and it was a breeze. With it with have:
a repeat BIG green salad
Michigan grown asparagus
potatoes, onions and carrots roasted in a bit of the beer/chili sauce

Dessert: Cheesecake with Rolos baked in; topped with chocolate ganache

Sunday they will either cook for us or bring in dinner.
