Where are Joanie and Lisa/LA?? Lisa, have you done the rte 66 trip yet?

I agree - there are lots of people who haven't been around, and it's been really slow around here.

Where is everyone? On vacation?
Also, there are lots of lurkers around and it would be nice to get them out of the closet.

Thanks AngAK and DawnMO for the concern and email...

It's nuts around my house!!! LOL I'll be back ASAP. Youngest DD and soon-to-be 3yr old granddaughter moved back home 2 weeks ago. Lovin it but it's 'not easy' at times. smileys/wink.gif

Will check back in soon!

(((((((BIGHUGS))))))))) to everyone!

Does anyone know if Rte 66 is the Lincoln Highway? I just read a whole article

about the Lincoln Hwy and it never did come out and say specifically that it was Rte 66. Or is Rte 44 the Lincoln Hwy? confused in MA.

Thanks so much to you both. The highway I've always wanted to drive

full length is Rte. 6. It starts in Provincetown, Ma on Cape Cod and runs all the way to California. For some reason it doesn't go to the coast but stops in Bishop, CA just over the border from Nevada. And it's still Rte 6, at least it still was on my AAA road atlas of 1990.

The Lincoln Highway goes right through the center of my hometown in Indiana. It's US30 there.

We drove part of Route 66 last Thanksgiving. We picked it up east of Bakersfield CA and..

took it to Albuquerque. It either paralleled Interstate 40 or they both were the same. When we had the option we took the old road. It was fun!

Hey! I'm here for a bit - thanks for thinking of me. smileys/smile.gif Yes, we did the Route 66 trip -

and had a great time. smileys/surprise.gif

We've had a busy, wonderful summer.
