Where should I look for instant recipes?

I've noticed many bloggers tag any recipes by using Instant Pot in the titles. If you have some

favorite sites, search them using Instant Pot and see what comes up.

Here are a few sites. Amazon has many $1 kindle Instant Pot cookbooks, many

for specific ethnic recipes. I have one for Indian for example

All our kids have an IP and absolutely love it. Had a delicious pork green chile for New Year's from DD's IP.

Does the instruction book look like a translation done by someone who watched a lot of

American reality shows which were in turn translated by someone else?

At least yours sounds like it has words. The instructions for my Canon printer is mostly icons and arrows pointing back to more icons and covers at LEAST 8 different languages, none of which I'm following. I still haven't figured out the wireless option.

Not for first time instant pot users!

This was delicious, but to say the cooking time was 1 1/2 hours was ludicrous. Chopping didn't take long, and I was clumsy and nervous about the settings on the instant pot. Searing the short ribs in batches (which was necessary) took about 15-20 minutes. Then sautéing the vegetables took 7-9 minutes and oh wait, no celery listed in the ingredients, but there is in the directions. Tomato paste sautéed 2-4 minutes, wine added and reduced (3-4 minutes), broth added. ribs returned to pot (whew!), lid locked (pressure cook for 35 minutes. Natural release (at 20 minutes I moved to a quick release because dinner was getting late). Remove ribs, strain juices and aromatics, crush aromatics back into broth (you get where I'm going?). Return broth and ribs to pot, add roasted mushrooms and sauce for 7 more minutes or so. I'm exhausted just re-hashing it. I will say again, the end product was delicious, but a mistake for my first venture into the instant pot which was supposed to save me time.

Lol Pam, I’m exhausted just reading the rehash. You gave me a good laugh as that’s

the way I feel many nights putting dinner on the table and I don’t have an Instant pot. I have read other comments on the process not being as speedy as the user expected. At least they were delicious. I hope your next venture goes more smoothly.

Pressure Cooking

It occurs to me that pressure cooking is for those who need to speed up the cooking time (duh). I don't really mind putting something in a dutch oven on the stove top (or in the oven) for several hours. Then you can slowly add your seasoning (or whatever) and time your side dishes to come out at the same time. I didn't even go into trying to heat mashed potatoes without having any idea how long a natural release took. My guess is that I'm going to like this machine more as a slow cooker than as a pressure cooker. I'll try again, but with a much simpler recipe. Meanwhile we're enjoying the leftovers.
