oh, and I found the Gourmet section name: SUGAR AND SPICE

That was where people could submit their own recipes and where the apricot bar recipe (using unsulfured apricots) was submitted by a mother.

 
Not really. I remember it mostly for the sulfur vs unsulfured discussion.

And at that time (way back when) the only unsulfured kind I could find were the brown ones at the health food store.

And I so love the color of dried apricots.
