Oli, if you look over to the left of your reply, you will see the Options and under it is

an edit button. If you click on it, you can edit your posting. I do it all the time. That button is my friend. I type fast but have some arthritis and my fingers are sometimes hitting the wrong keys. I love edit buttons!

 
I understand, but I don't think it affects the "subject' line

It lets you edit the message.
