Who wants to play: identify this le creuset pan? Note the handles.

It's definitely not a Dutch oven. Maybe a saute pan? It's hard to see the back handle.

And why are they featuring it in the dirt?

I know --- it's a mystery. I can't find anything with handles like this.

It looks like the back handle sits north/south like some casserole handles. I'd thought maybe it was part of a 2-in-1, but those handles aren't like this either, at least currently. If it was a skillet handle sheared off you'd think they'd mention it (and not mistake it for a dutch oven). Someplace in my mind thinks I've seen a handle configuration like this someplace, but can't recall for sure.

A mystery.

Send the picture to Le Creuset via their website for an ID. Don't assume the seller would mention

a sheared off handle...ask for more pics,

I emailed about more pixs

we'll see if they respond given they listed a phone number as a means of contact instead of email, but I didn't want to call and ask, hey is that a broken handle? Given I'm mostly just curious. smileys/smile.gif

I'll report back if I hear anything, but I know I've seen pans with different handles before, but just can't recall what they were (or if they were 1/2 of something else).

Maybe that's why it's laying in the dirt - they flung it! Really though I know I've seen this before

Not on this brand, but still can't recall for sure, vintage maybe, something like a 2-piece where one side (the weird side) works like a hinge.

But then again it could be, dutch oven? This is no stinkin' dutch oven! (fling!)
