Whole citron?

"Whole", meaning large strips? You may have to make them yourself. It's not hard.

I saw a recipe awhile back from Jeff Smith for candying your own citrus peel.

I've never seen it sold 'whole'.

They do look beautiful. I wonder if they would be too moist to add..

chopped to a fruitcake, cranberry bread or a fudgy chocolate cake..YUM

I've found whole citron (it is pale green with a pebbly outside) in Italian import...

stores around the holidays.

You might also try asking in your local bakery.

Diced citron is readily found in supermarkets where they sell candied peels and cherries. ---the whole fruit is of a better quality.
