Why is it always 90 ° and humid when the cucs are ready to be canned? Anyway,

I'm blasting the AC and doing dills today. One batch to go. Do any of you put a jalapeno in the jar and, if you do, do you seed it, chop it, or just wash it and toss it in? Thought I'd try it but wanted your opinion.

When I was canning....

I never had A/C, so consider yourself blessed!
I didn't add jalapeno to my dills, but if you want to do that, I'd slice it in half lengthwise, or you'll be missing the punch.

That sounds good. I buy Gedney, I think they are called Zingers

bread and butter chips and they are delish. I am in the process of formulating some spicy bread and butter pickles for a vendor friend of mine from the S.D.Farmer's Market. When I get it figured out, I will post it for you.
