I made half the recipe, used Penzeys beef stock concentrate for the beef broth and orange zest in the cranberry sauce along with a little less sugar as you suggested (and I agree). I was generous with the onions and garlic. We enjoyed this with potatoes I halved and baked, asparagus and a green salad. Mashed potatoes would be wonderful, but I was recovering from a rich Gorgonzola and tomato pasta dish the night before, so opted for the plain potatoes.
