Things haven't changed since last year but she still has to stay on the trial drugs for six weeks and go back one more time. Since I just started back work last week, DH took her. They couldn't believe how nice the doctor was for the first time. Others in the waiting area were talking about her and openly discussing the same issues I had with her. Wonder if they gave her the very blount feedback I gave them in the random survey call?

A job, a clean bill of health for DD - things are looking up. If only MIL's move into independent living were going so well. She called yesterday asking me where her car was and told DH she was going to go back to Ohio.

Marianne - SIL did take her to 'memory specialist'

and he told her he didn't need to drive hence the reason the car is at SIL's because she's using it for now to drive MIL around. He also said she didn't need to cook so they have removed the breaker for her stove. And he put her on the aricept. That's been a little over a week ago so I guess we need to give it a little time.

Still, she's not eating, not socializing, not taking her meds. Next step - pay for all the add on services such as having them give her all her meds and help make sure she's going down to eat. SIL still thinks she's not ready for memory care facility and she's the one having to put up with it first hand every day so we're leaving it in her hands for the moment.

Wonderful to hear!

Now you can sleep peacefully. Nothing worse than when we don't know if your children are safe and sound.
