Would someone please help me with a dessert? For tonight.

I'm afraid my brain is so slow these days that thinking is painful. I just can't seem to think of a dessert that is simple enough that I can make it in the next few hours, along with shopping and dinner.

My guest is allergic to:

eggs

cow milk

wheat

mushrooms (don't think I've ever made a mushroom dessert)

If you can help me come up with an idea, I'd be very grateful. Thanks.

Or, for a more adult kick: "limoncello, lemon sorbet & Prosecco" slush. There's a fancier name for

this, but I'm drawing a blank.

Apple Crisp? Use spelt flour in place of wheat flour.

Oatmeal Apple Crisp Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
# 6 medium apples, pared and sliced
# 1/2 cup all purpose flour, sifted (60 gm / 2oz)
# 3/4 tsp (4 ml) ground cinnamon
# 1/3 cup softened butter or margarine (95 gm / 3½oz)
# 3/4 cup brown sugar (120 gm / 4 oz)
# 1/2 cup oatmeal flakes (25 gm / 1 oz)
# 3/4 tsp (4ml) ground nutmeg

METHOD:

Preheat oven to 375°F or 190°C.

Grease baking dish with additional butter and arrange apple slices in it.

Cut the flour into the softened butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Then add the other ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Sprinkle the dry mixture over top of the apples.

Bake 30 minutes, or until apples are cooked and topping is golden-brown.

Thank you all. Out to stumble my way through traffic. Figs in sambuca sounds like the one. Now to

find some sheep ricotta.

Thank you for your help.

dark chocolate dipped fruit? pear/apple crisp made with just oatmeal/nuts/brown sugar and margarine

if they can't have butter. maybe whirl some of the oatmeal in the blender for a flour like consistency. cool whip? or does that contain wheat?

As I was saying, Simple Apple Tart.. Use a sheet of regular or puff pastry,

square or round, turn up the ends, sprinkle with sugar, lay on thinly sliced apples in an overlapping pattern, (rows if square, rings if round.) Sprinkle with more sugar and bake at 400* until crisp. Glaze with apricot glaze if you have it, or just dust with powdered sugar.

Way too late, but I often make a simple jelly fruit salad or serve chevre and jam as dessert.
