Sorry some of these are blurry, think I tried to get too close (full slideshow of more photos at the link). Remember when we thought I was giving it too much water? Well, I cut back and it fainted, so it wasn't that. Then the 2 new leaves it had also turned yellow, then brown, then died. I still had no idea what to do. Then day before yesterday I saw this, but couldn't see bugs:

and today I saw it on another set of leaves - they were stuck together and when I pulled it apart I saw this webby looking stuff:

Then with the close up of the camera I caught a glimpse of this guy. -- a caterpillar of some sort!!! I think the webby stuff was a cocoon that I pulled apart to find the little guy inside...maybe.

Yikes!!! I'd hope to keep this organic, but what to do??? Does anyone have suggestions on what I should do or what I should spray it with?

I'd been wondering why by this time I hadn't gotten runners or flowers/berries...maybe this or lack of full sunlight is why. I didn't have a full sun spot till I got the backyard cleared - I hadn't wanted to put it back there till that happened...because I was concerned about bugs.

(Of course I picked this guy off the plant...boy could he run, but I'm thinking it's not the only one or problem since the other side was eaten first.)

Buy a spray bottle of "Caterpillar Killer" with the active ingredient B.t, It's an organic bacterial

culture that kills caterpillars and nothing else. You can buy it in concentrate but if it's just the one plant make it easy on yourself (It kills tomato worms too.)

The web stuff could be spiders but it is more likely the stuff your friend hatched out of.
