I used unseasoned, but if you like sweeter, could probably use seasoned and adjust the sugar and

salt, if needed. I don't keep seasoned on hand, if needed, it can be made by adding sugar and salt to unseasoned.

 
Liz, I've been filing away Asian recipes today and I think you can assume unseasoned unless

the recipe specifies seasoned.
