I'm loving:

Sweet Mandarin by Helen Tse (excellent narrator)

Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell (read by himself)

Blood Diamonds (the audio version is fantastic!)

Geography of Bliss (did I mention this one already?)

Thanks! Did Outliers (10,000 hours to be a virtuoso bread maker?)

(re: 10,000 hours of practice seems to be the "tipping point" of what makes a musician a "virtuoso" musician.)

In that case, I have 9,928 hours yet to go and maybe by then I'll be able to make a decent Chocolate Cherry Bread.

I just finished listening to "People of the Book"....enjoyed the ties to calligraphy, having ancestors from Bosnia, and my memories of the library at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem.

Thanks for the suggestions!

LOL! But you probably only have 9,000 hours to go on GBH, right? smileys/smile.gif

Thanks for the recommendation for "People of the Book." I just picked up this book on Israeli food and that will be a nice tie in. I'm daydreaming about Tel Aviv and the Red Sea...

Does it have any bread recipes? Love those little flat rolls. No wait...don't do it!

I'm putting myself on a "NO YEAST BAKING" exercise until my emotional state has recovered.
