got a Vosges Oaxaca Bar (Chiles in bittersweet chocolate and the Bacon Bar ( applewood smoked bacon, Alder wood smoked salt and deep milk chocolate). I immediately tasted a corner of the bacon bar and it's sooooo good! I can see why people rave about it.

She bought me the "Initiation" box of 20 from Maison. The booklet with the candy suggests you eat the chocolate in a certain order accompnnied with non sparkling mineral water. (yeah, right)

I had one: Rigoletto lait- Caramel butter mousse, as seductive as silk, with a milk chocolate exterior.

Just lovely. (Sigh)

 
Wow - they sound delicious! (except for the bacon one - don't like salty with chocolate)...

That Rigoletto Lait sounds amazing. Keep me updated!

 
I just ordered several boxes from Maison... for my husband's birthday..

He would never eat them in a specific order, with mineral water, etc. Yeah - right:)

But they are fabulous.

Vosges is lovely too - we go to Chicago frequently and that's where they are made.

Sounds like you are in chocolate-heaven!

oh...memories of Harold and Maude's Odorifics....

I then became infatuated with these: my "Odorifics."

She points to the odd-shaped boxes with the tubes and handles attached to them.

Give the nose a treat, I thought. Have a kind of olfactory banquet! So I began first on the easiest - roast beef, old books, mown grass, then I went on to these (she reads the labels on the boxes)
"An Evening at Maxim's."
"Mexican Farmyard."

Here's one you'd like: "Snowfall on 42nd Street." Put it on.

She helps him put on the oxygen-type mask.

MAUDE (continuing)
Now I'll pump it up... (she does so)
... and you just turn the handles. (he does)
Okay. What do you smell?

HAROLD
Subways... Perfume... Cigarette...(gradually becoming more excited)
... Cologne... Carpet... Chestnuts!
...... Snow!

MAUDE
It goes on and on.

 
I ordered basically everything that was solely dark chocolate..

So dark chocolate truffles (they have about 4 pure dark chocolate variaties - and I ordered everyone), dark chocolate bars.

They are to arrive on the 13th. As we go through them I will post and describe. I can vouch from experience the dark chocolate truffles rolled in cocoa and the dark chocolate candy bars are TDF!
