A friend took me out to a restaurant for dinner this week. It was a celebratory event that needed more than just a glass of wine to address. So I ordered my favourite cocktail, a Scotch Frog. Now this is not a well-known mixture but since this restaurant had encountered me before, the staff wanted to please. Of course the bartender searched all his references and could find nothing. I could see various wait staff hovering around the bar, all seemingly intent on a purpose. Finally, the staff went on to the internet to see what could pop up.

There it was, the best reference to Scotch Frog, and one of only a few. The waiter returned to the table with questions about the proportions stated in the link and received my excited approval as they were exact. He said that it was an odd link but seemed to be the best available. (I didn't tell him who posted it)

PS: Too bad your "post" recipe didn't include the suggestion to "give a free sample to any guest that requests one"
