Thank goodness my sister is even more AR than I am. She has already taken my list of cookies for the PCT at the wedding and will be making Cricket-labels for each cookie. Otherwise I'd be working my way through this list.

PS: I'm making the Honey Almond Ginger Biscotti

I wonder how many of us have that same knife! I remember someone here recommending it a few years ago and I ordered it. It has been regularly used since.

Yep...I bought it because of recommendation here. Did Judy in Mass recommend it for hard sourdough crust? I think Cyn in NY bought then cut herself with it. My sister ordered it after I told her how great it worked for biscotti and she cut herself too.

I did indeed! I was looking for a good bread knife and this one had great reviews and you can buy about 5 of them for what MSK wanted for one of their choice!

I did recommend it. I've had mine for a couple of years and have not cut myself with it. It does stay sharp without needing any honing.

A few months back I was about to purchase one of those Milk St knives (Nakiri) and then it occurred to me to check Mercer and I ended up getting one of the Mercer "Asian collection" with an NSF handle. Not as pretty but it also has become a go to knife for me. It's like a giant razor blade and slices veggies real nice. I think it was about 1/3 of the cost too.

OMGoodness those look wonderful! Please share pics of labels too!

it's going to be interesting. Color theme is blue French Country...this is a charger plate Sister made since they couldn't find any they liked.

She decoupaged a clear white charger, one by one. I said it was a great idea. She said it was great for the first ten, but after 185 plate chargers, she's changed her tune.

All the wedding decorations will be in a blue/pale grey/white candle theme...except the cookie table. It's a tribute to the Pittsburgh Steelers...so black & gold with Pittsburgh bridges and skyline 3D models on the tables. Apparently, a Cricket can even cut balsa wood. Labels will have a stand for each type of cookies.

that plate is so lovely! How impressive that people go to so much trouble, but worth it when it turns out perfectly.

Wouldn't it be fun if someone at each table won the right to take home all the chargers at the table?

(I love decorating dinner tables)
