A food I hate that no one else seems to...

As Erma Bombeck once said, "I don't want to be in the same country as goat cheese. It always tastes the way a yak looks in one of those National Geographic specials."

I hate goat cheese and it's embarassing nowadays.

For me it's curry... and believe me I've tried. So much as 1/4 teaspoon in a recipe

causes me to say, "Is that curry in here?! Blech!"

And olives.

How can I be a professed foodie and not like olives? It's shameful.

Lol, I only recently would try goat cheese because I was just sure it would taste like a goat

smells. I really like it, but wonder if that is because I've only bought the kind that comes in rolls in grocery stores and warehouse clubs, no artisan. What I hate that everyone else seems to love is chicken thighs, can't abide the thought of dark meat and that means no duck, my loss, I'm sure.

Fresh mozzarella...and I've purchased it from different places (m)

(Italian deli, gourmet shops, etc) but it always to me tastes like plain old milk and I never liked milk. And so I never understood why people raved over fresh mozzarella.

Cilantro-tastes to me like sow bugs smell when you squash them. My late co-MIL thought it tasted...

like old dish rags. And she had a Mexican SIL--how had is that!!!

Only one for me: grape leaves. If forced, I'll eat the stuffing out of them and hide the wrapping.

Cilanto, also. I tried to like it until I read Julia Child (m)

said that she didn't like it because it tasted like soap. If Julia didn't like it, I don't have to like it either.

Bananas....acckkkkkkkkkkkkkkk! I am pretty good at spotting them a mile away, but

once in a Japanese restaurant, they slipped one in my tempura. double accckkkkkkkkkkkkkk! Now why in the world would a banana be in tempura???

Dark Meat...

When my family gets together, I can't make dark meat anything! I love dark meat. It's so tender and yucky.

Cilantro

When I was younger I hated cilantro, thought it tasted like soap, but I've acquired a taste for it and now I crave it. I think it's my age.

Curry and olives for me too. Also the goat cheese and cider vinegar. Maybe we need our own country

I can't abide cilantro which to me tastes metallic. Blech!

Also, I wouldn't thank you for tongue or heart.
