I suspect many of you have not had or maybe seen a real southern caramel cake so I am going to correct that. None of these 3 layer cakes with caramel icing. This is from the best restaurant on the coast--Frank's--and is like the ones we would have at family reunions purchased from the small town caterer where DH grew up. It is just incredibly delicious--and I am not a dessert eater. This is a stack of two--it is cut thin thin thin!!
