Adventures in weighing sugar. How much does a cup of sugar really weigh?

Once again, screwed by FL. They grow the cane here, pollute the aquafilter, process it here...yet

I can't BUY it here.

Yep...did that. It used to be carried in the grocery store in the fru-fru liquor accessory section

...like grenadine syrup, cocktail olives, etc.

Now...nowhere. Except at Whole Foods or Fresh Market for $5/pound.

I did try buzzing it, but it seemed a bit powdery.
