I posted the 'faux' crab cakes above - you HAVE to try them!!! Incredible

they were such a hit at this $500 a plate fundraiser that I can't help but think it was part ofwhat made a cooking class she is co-teaching go for $850 AND they had two that wouldn't give so they agreed to do two of them - they raised $1,700 for TWO cooking classes. Just try her stuff - it really is unbelievable.

Just the opposite here. Great, sweet flavor, but only 3 or 4 out edible ones out of

12 plants... arrgh! So I finally forced myself to go to the farmer's market recently and BUY some tomatoes (I haven't done that in the summer in a few years). Blight got mine I guess. But the ones I did get had some of the best flavor that I've ever grown.

Made this last night. Loved the biscuit dough with it instead of pastry. I used more cheese

and less corn. I added just a touch of ground bouquet garni to the dough and would do that again. I also used 2+ pounds of tomatoes, peeled and seeded.

Very good. We preferred it quite hot, as opposed to closer to room temp, but if the next day, it's better at room temp than rewarmed.

I'll be doing this one again.
