Yesterday I naively leaned over and suddenly my sciatica nerve (one of 7 trillion nerves) revolted. Searing pain flared with each twist, turn, or spinal bend. It took several Advil, a Lidocaine patch and a heating pad before I could move like a normal bipod.
To that end, I decided to raid the refrigerator and prepare the edible version of a quote a friend once sent:
Some days you just need a hug and a grilled cheese cut on the diagonal.

Deb Perelman’s tomato Soup and my grilled cheese sandwich:
La Brea Jalapeño Cheddar bread
Vermont extra sharp cheddar
Oaxaca queso
Dijon country mustard.
Hug administered.
