Any bakers out there that can 'splain to me what happened to my cookies?

Good question, cl. I didn't intentionally change, more that my son wanted to

make cookies, and I like to take advantage of his interest when it strikes.

I usually have a zillion feet of parchment, but ran out and forgot to add it to my shopping list.

And the sugar thing - well, I usually go from my Mom's handwritten recipe, and have never written my usual sugar adjustment onto the card. I've made these things so many times, you'd think I wouldn't even need the card anymore, much less a reminder of the one change I make. However, I am suffering from CIOP (Cognitive Impairment Of Pregnancy), which is a temporary condition and should be clearing up within the next 6 weeks or so. smileys/wink.gif

Then I will be suffering from another cognitive impairment - LOSCI (Lack of Sleep CI), which based on previous experience take a bit longer to recover from. smileys/surprise.gif

I've discovered the joy of baking from frozen cookie dough

If the dough is first frozen, oven preheated, you can break off chunks, plop it on the pan, and eureka! They don't spread all over the place smileys/smile.gif

LOL Joe! I do the same with my silpat/parchment. Just love the parchment. Need industrial size.
