Any decaf coffee drinkers here? I am considering going that route - but don't

Well, I finally have a store that you don't have (so far)! The first Fresh Market started in

Greensboro, and there are two here, plus their coporate headquarters. Now, if we could just get a TJ's - Actually, TJ's tried to open a store here, but Whole Foods took the space they wanted. Harris Teeter, the mega supermarket has usurped the best area, called "The Shoppes at Friendly Center," and no other food market can legally open there. It's the most desirable location, which TJ's wanted. Whole Foods got in through a legal loophole - the rented space from Sears. So, since April, we've had a Whole Foods here - I have yet to check it out, but will soon.

Meanwhile, that's the space TJ's wanted. Now there's a developer who wants to build a new shopping center very near the Friendly Center, which would be built primarily to feature TJ's, but the neighborhood is fighting it. They don't want another center so close to their homes. At the same time, there are lots of people who want a TJ's, and have for a long time, so they're fighting to get one here. Who knows what the outcome will be?

I like them for specific things, as is true for the other stores I shop in, so I divide my shopping

between the Harris Teeter Flagship store (it's a megastore)!, EarthFare (health food store), Fresh Market, and Food Lion (and of course, Total Wine smileys/smile.gif. HT has an amazing international fish selection, so I stick to them for fish/seafood - I wasn't happy with the one time I bought rainbow trout at Fresh Market. On the other hand, I bought a sirloin there that was great, and their boneless, skinless chicken breasts are excellent. Some good baked goods (and some not so good, ie, terrible baguettes), great eggs, nuts, bulk chocolate stuff, such as English chocolate toffee balls, etc. I don't buy too much produce there, and overall, I buy less there than the other 3 stores.
