This also sounds good. I think I just like the stuff green or white spears....

even canned if I can;t get fresh but then I only use the canned ones to cook with; making a last minute quiche or soup or pie or something.
There is nothing to beat fresh seasonal anything, of course.

 
Asparagus and goat's cheese galette

Not a specific recipe per se, but really easy

Take a sheet of puff pastry and place it on a cookie sheet lined with parchment - fold over the outer edges about 1" and prick the base - brush the folded edges with beaten egg yolk

Spread goat cheese on the base. toss asparagus in olive oil and salt and place on top, very close together -

Bake in a hot oven until the edges are brown and asparagus soft - if the asparagus are very thick, roast them a bit first.

Sometimes I also add some sun dried tomatoes on there, or roasted peppers for colour.
