Just walked in - clean up is for someone else to do. I got there at 2:45 to find
tiny scallops frozen in one solid chunk. Almost left at that point. Got them broken up but they were sooooo full of water I knew they wouldn't saute. Pressed as much as I could out and tried cookin them in the butter. No go- they basically boiled! Instead of adding the wine, etc.(I said the heck with it and used some white)I dumped the scallops out, melted some butter and then reduced the wine and broth. I do think the fresh herbs helped a lot. They raved about it and asked for extra bread (I picked up several loaves of artesan on my way there) to sop up the juices. I'd like to try the dish again with good ingredients.
