You could get a "fruit cocktail" tree that has both or more...

I don't know if Dave's have them, but I know God's Little Acre in south San Jose does. He specializes in grafting several types on one tree.

Not a bad idea. Arborist neighbor just today suggested a

3 in 1 apricot and showed me that his actually has Blenheim on it, along with Tomcat and Katy (from Dave Wilson Nursery). We may choose to go that route as the 4 in 1 plum tree we planted 2 years ago is incredibly happy/thriving and just loaded with plums. My only hope is that we will be able to harvest more than the squirrels and birds. smileys/wink.gif

Squirrels and birds is why I want to espalier - and why I don't have a cherry tree.

When I was a little kid my parent's friends had a commercial cherry orchard and they set off shotguns on timers to keep the birds away. Scared the daylights outta me!
