Beware the stored slicer disc for your food processor. I reached into a drawer and unknowingly...

Aw Man! Bummer! In a year, you can call it a badge of honor, but now; just keep your fingers up,

and keep it clean.

Best,
Barb

Ouch,ouch,ouch. Heal well.

It might be too deep, but I use Vaseline on cuts to keep the skin moist while it heals - less pain, and it helps to keep it clean.

From my days in the ER I learned that Neosporin Ointment, or a good triple antibiotic ointment...

...works as well as Vaseline at keeping the wound from drying out and cracking. Plus, you get the benefit of the antibiotic, so infection is mitigated. The doctors in the ER considered Neosporin to be a miracle salve.

Thanks Lana,

Michael

Good to know - thanks!

My dad was a doctor whose main cure for sore fingers / feet was 'put it in hot water as hot as you can stand it for as long as you can stand it', so it's quite daring of me to use even vaseline! I must say that the hot water treatment is excellent for many things, but I suppose one should move on. smileys/smile.gif
