Biscoff Spread - I keep reading about this - Has anyone tried it or the cookies themselves?

I've had it also. Tastes like a creamy version of the crisp cookie. I put

it on top of mini-brownies and brought it into work. Most folks weren't that happy with it...thought it was too strong a taste for icing.

NO ONE could figure out what it was.

My jar got very oily and I ended up tossing it.

Oh yeah! So that's what I had on my flight cross country...can't quite envision that as a spread,

Marilyn, you answered my question, I think, because I was wondering if it is ...

...57% cookies, what is the other 43%?

Oil.

Cookie Butter is an apt description, I'm thinking.

Here's a knock-off version of Biscoff from "Baked Explorations" of "Baked" fame.

I wanted to like these. I really did. Actually, what I wanted was my own stash of Delta Airlines cookies that did not require begging a stewardess/flight attendant for one more. (This was before I knew you could just buy them in a Big Box Food Store.)

But these aren't an exact duplicate...or at least mine weren't. They weren't as thin, they weren't as crispy and the spice blend was not spot-on.

(I know...I just reread my original post and see where I added almond meal...so how can I claim it's not exactly right? My only defense is research must have shown almond meal in speculaas, so I added it. Now that I think about it, why would an airline waste $$ for almond meal on customers content with flour?)

Ok, was just at TJ's so of course had to buy a jar - what does everyone like to use it on?

I don't dare open it till I've eaten something good first. Right now I'm hungry. Not good a good foil hat moment.
