Bought two new herbs last weekend at the farmers market, celery leaf and oregano thyme...

I have never heard of either one. The celery leaf one looks a lot like a flat leaf parsley but tastes EXACTLY like celery. The oregano thyme is a thyme plant with leaves the size and shape of oregano. Can't wait till they get big enough to try out, if the rain ever stops and we get some sun they may actually grow up some!

So fun to find the plants! I found Thai Basil at Home Depot of all places! Will be planting that

this week, when it gets warmer....I think I need an intervention. I have plants/seeds everywhere!!

Cyn, she also had lovage, it was a much larger, thicker stemmed plant..

and it had a much stronger taste than the celery leaf plant. She said the lovage is a perienal and the celery leaf is an annual. The leaves on the lovage she had were shaped a bit different than the pic in your link. Not sure what the difference might be.

I love her booth at the farmers market. They are an organic farm and always have cool stuff. Last year they introduced me to tiny pineapple tomatillios. You just pop them in your mouth like candy! What a treat!

You must get lots of sun and I am jealous. I only get sun on my herb garden...

the rest of my yard is very shady. I love all of our trees but I certainly wouldn't mind more sun. I would be just like you if there were more sun available.

I bought some woodland plants a week ago at plant day at the local gardens. I planted in my wooded area and watered. Went back to water again and a critter?? had dug them up and ate the roots off the little evergreens and the lentan roses-leaving the greenery behind!!! We are thinking a squirrel or a chip monk??? (I bought replacements for them and enclosed them all with some netting and they have been safe so far......)
