Fudge Bars
1/2 pound butter
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chip
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup flour -- sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup toasted pecans -- chopped
Melt butter, chocolate, and sugar in large bowl in microwave. Stir often. When melted and thoroughly mixed, allow to rest for 10 minutes.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add and mix in the remaining ingredients.
Spread mixture into a greased 13 x 9 in. pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes. Do not overbake.
Remove from oven and let stand for a few minutes and then cut into squares with a wet knife. Cool completely before removing from pan. Yield: 30
