Nuke the pb for a few seconds to soften, the drop spoonful all over and swirl w/ chopstick or knife

 
My very very favorite brownie recipe - Almond Macaroon Brownies

Almond Macaroon Brownies

Brownies:
3/4 cup butter
4 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1 cup chopped almonds

Topping:
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups flaked coconut
1 cup chopped almonds
2 squares semi-sweet chocolate

Directions for Brownies: Melt butter and chocolate together. Stir in sugar, eggs and vanilla, mix well.
Add flour and almonds and stir to combine. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
Directions for Topping: Combine cream cheese, sugar, eggs and flour together in a large bowl. Beat until smooth. Stir in coconut and almonds. Spread topping mixture over the brownie layer. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool. Melt chocolate and drizzle over top of the cake. Cut into squares.

Fudge Bars


1/2 pound butter
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chip
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup flour -- sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup toasted pecans -- chopped

Melt butter, chocolate, and sugar in large bowl in microwave. Stir often. When melted and thoroughly mixed, allow to rest for 10 minutes.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add and mix in the remaining ingredients.

Spread mixture into a greased 13 x 9 in. pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes. Do not overbake.

Remove from oven and let stand for a few minutes and then cut into squares with a wet knife. Cool completely before removing from pan. Yield: 30
