Cake to be auctioned off tonight… Wish my cake luck

My neighbor is an artistic director for a community theater and tonight is their donor dinner. Desserts are auctioned off to the highest bidder. He asked me to make a cake for them and this is the result. The cake itself is the chocolate espresso from sweetpolita and the icing is also from her it’s a vanilla bean paste butter cream which was quite good. I wish I could get a photo that showed how much this Cake glitters in the light.

Oh MY! Just beautiful! Nicely Done! I love the varigated colors;reminds me of the carribean ocean

 
Update. -Just got this text…

“So you're cake was a HUGE hit! The auctioneer called your name to take a bow! It was by far the prettiest on the table.

Also, almost every dessert had leftovers at the end of the event. Yours was not one of them.”

I’m so glad I was able to help their theater get donations. smileys/smile.gif

(I am also glad they said it was the prettiest one there because that means I win, LOL! FYI, there were professional cakes/desserts there as well so I was worried.)
