It is very cute, my problem was...
that I couldn't find blue jello. So I used the white grape jello and put blue food coloring in it. It just never jelled right. I thought the food coloring might have interfered with the jelling process, but I really couldn't see why that would matter - thinking, doesn't colored jello have food coloring in it? The cake looked ok, but when I tried to cut it the jello oozed out all over the place. I think the jiggler idea is a great one.

For Ang, I made a pool cake last year and it came out really good. The secret is in the details... teddy grahams diving underwater, lifesavers here and there to look like, well... lifesavers, licorice/rope across the pool, flattened Jolly Ranchers for kick boards, etc. I had fun making it and I know the kids I made it for really enjoyed it too.
