were okay for canning. The package and info on the Net indicate this are for serving, storing, gift-giving and preserving. No mention of canning. She tried the 800 number was on hold until they left for the day. No one answered although it was still during business hours back east.

So are they only good for freezing and jams? Maybe not for water bath or pressure canning.

Hi Luisa, I have used them for canning and here is a little info on their site.

However, I do not see where you can buy replacement lids for them, which is a little odd. I used them for strawberry jam and they were fine. I have reused the lids with no problem either, they held a seal. You aren't supposed to, but it worked for me. They say there are complete directions on the bottom of the jar package, has she looked there? If I see some in the store, I will take a look at them. Let us know what she finds out.

She only bought lids, not the jars. Thanks for the info, I'll check it out.

She said there was NO information included in the box of lids, odd, huh?
