Canning this weekend...need some inspiration. Tired of jam & tomatoes...any ideas?

Oh man, these are so good! It's hysterical trying to figure out how to eat one. 'Cause the bun

is regular size...and the tenderloin draped extensively. We used to cut off the excess tenderloin, eat that, and then the part with the bun was saved for a latenight snack or lunch the next day (served cold, of course!)

Man, we definitely were NOT healthy eaters!

Funny - I've never had boiled peanuts... maybe a more local thing?? Gotta agree though

with the boiled to death greens... especially collard! Forgot to add butter beans with ham hocks too.

That's what is so great about L.A., too -- you can get just about anything.

I've never heard of tayeberries -- haven't met a berry yet that I didn't like, though.

Basically canned tomatoes (home canned are best, lol) seasoned with sugar, salt and pepper. and

mixed with butter and bread cubes, then baked. Pretty good, actually. Haven't had that in years.

No wheat flour, but I think it's best made with very fine flour-like cornmeal. Not really bread,

more corn pudding in texture.

Ah, got it. My friend is gluten intollerant and I heard this would be a good dish for her.
