Carianna's Shrimp Cakes are fabulous!

I made the shrimp cakes as part of an appetizer/cocktail party I hosted this weekend, and these were a huge hit! I followed the recipe for the most part, except for I didn't have any hot sauce to add. I chopped up the shrimp by hand, and then gave everything a whirl in my Kitchen Aid mixer. I was surprised at how easy these were to put together. I didn't have the sauce ingredients, so I just whipped together a wasabi and mayo sauce/dip to go with it.

Other appetizers I made were: Bruschetta with a Balsamic Vinegar Reduction drizzle on top, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Chips, Baked Chicken Wings/Drummies, Veggie Platter and individual Tiramisus

Pssst... Hi Joe!

I still lurk on occassion but life has taken me away from cooking as much as I used to. I went back to school and got my teaching degree and am currently embroiled in my very first year of teaching! I have a great class of 5th graders keeping me busy.

I was actually cruising around today looking for kid-friendly-but-adult-looking appetizers. My daughter is throwing a Halloween party tomorrow night and wants "Real food, Mom... like you used to cater!" I think I'll post a ISO. smileys/smile.gif

Thanks for thinking of me!

Good to "see" you Carianna! I often think of your catering menus...Especially the big wedding with

the home made table!! Glad teaching is going well. You need to have Dawn's son as one of your students...((Did you see her goodies for the teachers!!))

Best,
Barb
