Cheezz, gushing gratitude inside!

I love Daisy. I have the Morning, Noon and Night cookbook, if you see anything that strikes

your fancy, I would be happy to type it up. I also have noticed that if you google the recipe with her name, it often shows up. I have never made home made sofrito or recaito; which I can only imagine is WONDERFUL, I just buy it in the store. It is is in a glass jar in the ethnic aisle OR many places have plastic containers in the frozen section.

For the avocado oil, (This does not seem puerto rican to me...Although I am by no means an expert). I would imagine that adding cut up avocados to the recipe and plain olive oil would give you a nice alternative.

She used to be on PBS; It was a fun show that was a nice balance of her sharing her heritage

local establishments, etc. I am not sure if it still on. I find it more fun to be cooking than watching cooking!

When she was first on, she had fun descriptive ways to make you sense that you were in her kitchen. It was not the "YUMM-O!" type of feeling, but rather an excitement of enjoying her sharing her recipe. ((This may have all changed))

BUT, last time I saw her, I noticed that she clearly has become more "hip" and modified her look. (Botox, knife, etc....) Not sure if was in a good way. But, still enjoy her recipes.

No, I've never made it. I don't have cake pans right now. Could I make it in a bundt pan?

I have seen her recipes in the Food Network Magazine.

They look good. She had an article about tamales where you mix all the ingredients together and wrap them in corn husks. They looked so good. I haven't had a chance to make them, but I loved how they looked. I think she may be a good cook. Not sure, just have a feeling.

A friend dug deep in his cabinet & let me try some. I wasn't impressed, but the bottle was old.
