Add: 2 eggs beaten

2) Sift: 2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, pinch salt

3) Mix together: 2 tsp vanilla ess., 1 cup sour cream.

Fold all together alternately.

Topping:
Mix: 200g chopped walnuts (or pecans)
2TBL white sugar

Spread layer of cake mix, layer of nuts, layer of cake mix and top with layer of nuts in a prepared spring form tin....
(Note I just do one batter layer and top with the nut mix)
Bake for 1 hour to 1 1/4hours at 180*
Rest in pan for 5 mins before turning out and dust with icing suger.(I don't dust)
Serve warm

iso Vanilla and Cinnamon Crumb Cake (more)

Hi Gay,

I partial to having the recipe for Vanilla and Cinnamon Crumb Cake. I had a feeling that it's the first one you thought of, so it's probably the best!

And, please tell us about "I've Have A Crush On You Coffee Cake"

Thanks for sharing your tried and true recipes with us.

Ann, The Vanilla and Cinnamon Crumb Cake is a Beth Hensperger recipe - I own several of her...>

cookbooks and they are always reliable. Enjoy it!

The I Have A Crush On You Coffee Cake is also her recipe and it contains apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, zest of an orange, oil and orange juice. If you are interested I will link it for you as it it on the net or just search google for the title.

ISO: GayR - I just picked up prune puree (filling - I hope) at the store

today. I happened to be in Ann Arbor, MI for an appointment and went to one of the fabulous grocery stores they have there and found it! Yippee.

So my plan is to make Lemon Mousse Brownies this weekend (Meryl) and then the Hungarian Coffee Cake next Friday for my weekend guests (all 15 of them:).

Thanks for what I know is going to be a fabulous recipe,

Deb

Deb-in-MI - I hope the recipe turns out well for you and I would love to hear how you like it.
